Adolf the Liberator? Who'd Have Thought?

Adolf Hitler may well have inadvertently freed more humans than any one single man in the history of the world.

After the end of World War II many nations around the world became independent from their Imperial rulers. Some of these countries were readily granted their freedom soon after WWII while others had to have major revolutions and bloodshed. The European occupiers were so weakened fighting the Germans they no longer had the capital or will to continue to oppress the natives of Africa, Asia and other parts of the globe.

The following are 36 nations who gained Independence as a direct consequence of WWII:

Indonesia gained Independence from the Netherlands in 1945.

Gambia gained Independence from the United Kingdom in 1965.
Lesotho gained Independence from, you guessed it, the United Kingdom in 1966.

Dozens of other Nations like South Africa and Angola would get their equality in the following decades.

Admittedly some nations gained sovereignty almost a generation after World War Two had ended, but if not for the strain of the war, the Europeans would most likely made more effort to hold onto these "colonies" 36 nations throwing off the chains of oppression in 21 years was and is still unprecedented in the history of the world.

The only real losers from this era of decolonization were the Palestinians. In 1948 the establishment of the State of Israel was declared and this led to the Palestinian exodus of 1948 in which 700,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes and have never returned.

Adolf Hitler was Satan incarnate and by no means am I a fan of the Nazis either. The Jewish people deserve peace and an existence free from fear and terrorism. So do the Palestinians.

From the depths of Hell came Heaven for tens of, if not hundreds of millions of subjugated peoples. If Adolf knew how many ethnic and non Aryans his actions would liberate, he would have gone about creating his thousand year Reich a little differently. His 126th Birthday the 70th anniversary of his cowardly death have just pasted a few weeks ago. On these two occasions, one a day of infamy and the other a day to be rejoiced lets think past his monstrous acts of the 1930's and 40's and take a new look at how he changed the course of history.

One final disclaimer: Hitler was a Demon and nothing more and the U.K. was truly a Blue Skinned Beast.
