What about all of Europe and Australia?
What do they blame their mass killings on?
Oh...that's right....they don't have them.
I wonder why?
After the Port Arthur mass shooting that killed 35 and wounded another 20. Australia passed firearms regulations that didn't ban guns but set standards that helped eliminate mass killings and lowered gun deaths. Like the US, Australia had a "Wild West" mindset when it came to guns but after Port Arthur polls showed public support as high as 90 percent for reform to gun laws.
Prior to the Port Author massacre Australia had 11 mass shootings in the span of 10 years. Says something about the people of Australia for them to take action after "only" 11 mass shootings as opposed to the US where just this year alone there have been 299 that have killed and injured 1,487. See Mass Shooting Tracker data: They count at least four people wounded by gunfire as a mass shooting. With the passage of the new laws Australia went from a firearms mortality rate of 2.6 for every 100,000 citizens to under one for every 100,000 less than a tenth of the US rate.
The Aussie Government bought back more than half a million semi-automatic long guns, coming to about 20% of all firearms in Australia and passed new laws prohibiting private sales and requiring all firearms to be registered by the owner and required that gun purchasers present justification for the type of firearm the would-be buyer wanted to own and the new laws included a minimum 28 day "cooling off" period before the issuing of the license. Semi-automatic rifles and pump action shotguns are banned from civilian use.
Violent crime and gun-related deaths did not come to an end in Australia. But homicides by firearm plunged 59 percent between 1995 and 2006, and non-gun-related homicides did not increase. Suicide by gun dropped by 65 percent.
Robberies involving guns decreased significantly. One significant fear of the new laws was that Australians would no longer be safe in their homes. Burglaries of residences did not increase, proving those fears to be unfounded and that firearms in the home do not deter such crimes.
Australia had 25 gun homicides in 2011, sure they have a population of 23 million but even then, it's a fraction of the US. Take the US, it has 3.55 gun homicides per 100,000 citizens, apply that rate to Australia and the total would increase to 819. Now take the Aussie rate of .11 gun murderers per 100,000 and apply that to the US and you get 330 murders by gun as opposed to 10,600 for 2013.
In Europe, the European Council Directive of June 18th, 1991 provides legal information on the control of the acquisition and possession of weapons in the European Union. The private possession of fully automatic firearms is prohibited and semi-automatic firearms and handguns are managed by the issuing of ownership licenses. If you want a gun you need to obtain a gun owner’s license. A background check must be passed and a legitimate justification as to why you need said gun must be provided. Only then will you be issued a licence. You also need a licence to buy ammunition.
Overall for the 28 EU member states there are .24 gun homicides per 100,000 people.
If you want a gun in France, you have to get a license and to get a licence you are required to take a six month long training course at an official French Federation of Shooting club. And only after getting approval from the French Federation of Shooting you can go to the next step, a background check for criminal activity and a mental records check. Once you have successfully completed the process, you will be issued a license good for five years. A maximum of twelve guns can be owned by one person and whatever the amount, your guns must be locked in a safe or other means that protect them from theft and or deny access to an untrained persons such as a child.
The European Union has a firearms ownership rate of 16 guns per 100 people and .24 gun homicides per 100,000 people.
Australia has a firearms ownership rate of 15 guns per 100 people and .11 gun homicides per 100,000 people.
France has a firearms ownership rate of 31 guns per 100 people and .22 gun homicides per 100,000 people.
The US has a firearms ownership rate of 113 guns per 100 people, the highest in the world, and 3.55 gun homicides per 100,000 people. According to the FBI, 68% of all homicides are committed using guns and handguns comprised 72.5 percent of the firearms used in murder and nonnegligent manslaughter incidents in 2011
With all of that said. The US does not have the most homicides by gun per 100,000. Honduras, El Salvador and Jamaica far out paces the US in fact the US isn't even in the top 10. Then again the vast majority of those ahead of the US are what I refer to as "Libertarian Paradises" nations with a feeble Federal Government and the strong eat the weak without fear of consequence, nations like Mexico, Swaziland and Colombia. But as far as the developed world goes, the US is by far the worst. The closest is Luxembourg with .60 gun homicides per 100,000 people then Canada with a rate of .51 per 100,000.

Some say "We have to keep guns from the crazies." The sad part is that you never know if or when you could go crazy. Crazy is not that simple. Sure there are those with obvious mental health issues like schizophrenia but what about the 73 year old guy who had finally had enough of the Jews and goes about killing people he thought were Jews but were actually Christians: Overland Park Jewish Community Center shooting Frazier Glenn Miller, Jr. was a well known Nazi fuck but hey, what you gonna do? Freedom of Hate and all that. So how did Frazier a man BANNED from buying firearms get his shotgun and handgun?
Say It With Me: STRAW BUYER
If the US had laws like the EU or France or Australia straw purchasing would be... I almost said impossible, but Donald Trump and Ben Carson are proving that nothing is impossible.
Look gun nuts, no one wants to take your guns and if Obama decided to take them, there wouldn't be a damn thing you could do about it. If you actually believe you can fight and win against the mightiest fighting force the world has ever know. Well then you are crazy and for the safety of your family and fellow citizens you really should have your guns taken away.
Something must to be done. Either get on board or get out of the way.
