In 1981 the USA starts funding Pakistan to fight the USSR in Afghanistan and from that came the mujahideen, the Taliban, Osama bin Laden and al Qaida.
Starting in 1982 the USA begins funding and arming Saddam in his war of aggression against Iran.
Starting in 1985 the USA begins selling weapons to Iran to use against Saddam.
In 1991 the USA invades Kuwait to clear Saddam their ally of just two years earlier out of the Rumaila oil field.
In 2001 the USA invades Afghanistan to get one man, Osama bin Laden who they knew was nowhere near Tora Bora when the invasion began.
In 2003 the USA invades Iraq based on false pretenses leading to the creation of ISIS.
One common thread?
With the exception of Israel a Republican was Commander and Chief for each and everyone of these boondoggles.
